MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University women’s basketball team is proud to host the seventh-annual “I Belong” Game, when the Mountaineers battle Kansas on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 7 p.m. inside the WVU Coliseum. The “I Belong” Game is a celebration of diversity and inclusion in Morgantown. The event is a collaborative effort between the WVU Athletics Department, the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the Department of Student Engagement and Leadership.

WVU students and Morgantown area organizations are invited to set up a pregame table display on the concourse at the “I Belong” Game. Booths may feature activities, informational sheets and giveaways promoting diversity & inclusion within your organizations. Participants will receive an “I Belong” button and free admission to the game for themselves and their families and friends.

The WVU student-organization with the best table display, as voted on by the “I Belong” committee, will win a $400 grant on behalf of the Department of Student Engagement and Leadership. The WVU Athletics Department Every Mountaineer Committee is matching this year’s grant, courtesy of Diversified Energy, bringing the total grant for the winning WVU student-organization to $800.

The registration deadline is Friday, January 31. Contact Corie Apodaca, Associate Director of Athletics Marketing, at [email protected] with any questions.
