MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team returns to University Park, Pennsylvania for the Penn State National Open on Jan. 31 – Feb. 1. The meet is set to be held at the Multi-Sport Facility & Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track.

Friday’s slate of competition is set to begin tentatively at 11:15 a.m. ET, with the men’s heptathlon. Live action continues Saturday, as the meet kicks off at 10 a.m., beginning again with men’s heptathlon.

The Penn State National Open can be viewed lived on the Big 10 Plus network, while live results can be found at WVUsports.com.

On Friday, the Mountaineers will compete in the women’s pentathlon, 60-meter dash, 400 meters, mile and 800 meters. West Virginia wraps up competition on Saturday with the 500 meters, 600 meters, 1,000 meters, 3,000 meters, 4×400 meter relay and the high jump.

Last time out, WVU competed at the YSU Collegiate Invitational and the Nittany Lion Challenge on Jan. 17 and 18, respectively. The weekend was highlighted by four Mountaineers who collected gold medals at the YSU Collegiate invitational, including sophomore Izayah Everett (200 meters), graduate student Madison Trippett (800 meters), sophomore Kishay Rowe (400 meters) and sophomore Eva Rinker (mile).
