MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University wrestling team is ranked No. 20 in the latest edition of the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Poll and four wrestlers appear in the FloWrestling individual rankings this week.

West Virginia (8-4, 2-3 Big 12) is one of six Big 12 schools in the poll with Oklahoma State (No. 3) and Northern Iowa (No. 5) setting the pace in the top five.

The Mountaineers went 1-1 during their road trip to Oklahoma, defeating then-No. 20 Oklahoma, 22-13, on Jan. 17. The victory marked West Virginia’s first over the Sooners since 2018 and its first win against a ranked opponent since 2023.

In the individual rankings, fifth-year Peyton Hall leads the Mountaineers at No. 3 in the 165-pound match.

Senior Jett Strickenberger continues his climb in the 125-pound ranking, checking in at No. 10 this week. Strickenberger has defeated four consecutive ranked opponents.

Redshirt sophomore Brody Conley at No. 30 (174) and redshirt senior Dennis Robin at No. 21 (184) also represent WVU in the rankings.

West Virginia will face No. 23 Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, on Sunday, Jan. 26. The match will begin at 1 p.m. on UFC Fight Pass from Mizzou Arena.
