MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 22 West Virginia University wrestling team begins 2025 on the road to face the Princeton Tigers at Jadwin Gymnasium in Princeton, New Jersey, on Saturday, Jan. 4, at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.

“Princeton has some really good wrestlers, and this should be a real test,” head coach Tim Flynn said. “Some of their wrestlers had a strong showing at the Midlands Championship as well.”

West Virginia (6-1, 1-1 Big 12) has not competed since it swept the field at the Knockout Christmas Classic on Dec. 21. The Mountaineers were dominant, defeating North Dakota State (22-21), Wisconsin (25-13) and Campbell (31-12).

The victory against North Dakota State marked the team’s first Big 12 win of the 2024-25 season.

The Mountaineers roll into their meeting against the Tigers with four ranked wrestlers in their starting lineup. Fifth-year Peyton Hall (165) leads WVU, sitting at No. 3 in his weight class. Redshirt junior Jordan Titus (141) is ranked No. 27, redshirt sophomore Brody Conley (174) is No. 28 and redshirt senior Dennis Robin (184) is No. 25.

This is West Virginia’s second all-time meeting against Princeton and first since 1978. In the first meeting, WVU lost 9-34.
