MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 22 West Virginia University wrestling team seeks its second consecutive win against a ranked opponent as it faces No. 3 Oklahoma State at 3 p.m. on ESPN+ at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on Sunday, Jan. 19.



 

West Virginia (8-3, 2-2 Big 12) is coming off an impressive win against the No. 20 Oklahoma Sooners on Jan. 17. In a series that dates back to 1927, West Virginia has never beaten Oklahoma State.

 

The Mountaineers lost to then-No. 5 Oklahoma State last season, 29-9.

 

Against Oklahoma, fifth-year No. 3 Peyton Hall improved to 21-0 on the year and now sits second all-time in program history with 121 career wins. Senior No. 13 Jett Strickenberger continued his hot streak in the 125-pound weight class, defeating his third ranked opponent against the Sooners.
