MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior forward Dilary Heredia-Beltran of the West Virginia University women’s soccer team has signed a professional contract with Tigres Femenil in Mexico, the club announced over the weekend.
Heredia-Beltran becomes the 42nd professional Mountaineer in program history, as well as WVU’s first to sign a professional contract following the 2024 campaign.
Hailing from Wichita, Kansas, Heredia-Beltran was a four-year starter for West Virginia, playing in 81 career matches and starting all but one of them. She scored 11 career goals and was a true quarterback of the Mountaineer offense with 19 career assists. She finished her WVU career with 41 points and 5,513 minutes played.
Heredia-Beltran was honored on the Big 12 All-Freshman Team, the United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region Third Team and the TopDrawerSoccer Freshman Best XI Second Team in her inaugural season with the Mountaineers in 2021. In 2022, she was recognized on the All-Big 12 Second Team and the Big 12 All-Tournament Team after helping WVU secure its 18th conference championship as the 2022 Big 12 Tournament Champions. She also received two nods as the WVU Student-Athlete of the Week during her career.
A member of the Academic All-Big 12 Second Team, she graduated in December with her bachelor’s degree in public health.
